That is a little sample of what you’ll hear tonight coming from the near-west side club Darkroom in Chicago. DJ. Shazam Bangles provided those beats. He and DJ’s, King Hippo, Go-go, and Tony Junior will play a solid set of Latin funk, salsoul, bossa nova, boogaloo and samba at the second annual Florecita Soul event tonight. Proceeds from this year’s dance party benefit Beyondmedia’s nonprofit documentary work and programming initiatives.
