Last week’s arrest of Governor Blagojevich and the allegations that followed have ramifications beyond just state government. The private sector has also played a “supporting role” in the drama of public corruption.

The most prominent example of late is perhaps the governor’s attempts to pressure Tribune Company executives to fire a Chicago Tribune editorial writer.
