When the band Dead Rider put out its debut album a couple of years ago, it was a substantially different band. For one thing, the band – known then as “D. Rider” – was pretty much the vision and voice of one person: Todd Rittmann. But as the lineup grew, so did the collaborative aspect of its songwriting. The evidence of those collaborations can be heard on the band’s second release, The Raw Dents, which comes out on May 3.

Band members Todd Rittmann and Noah Tabakin recently joined Eight Forty-Eight host Alison Cuddy. She started by asking Tabakin how a Dead Rider song comes together.
