Chicago-area DJ Bob Abrahamian’s tunes offered a refreshing breeze during the otherwise oppressivel,hot and muggy July. All hour long, Abrahamian kept Eight Forty-Eight cool with some soul music.
Abrahamian’s weekly radio show, Sitting in the Park, airs Sunday nights on the University of Chicago’s WHPK from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. He plans to bring the same soul flavor to Expo 72 as the last guest DJ for the city’s ode to Soul Train on Friday, Sept. 2.
Chicago’s 40th anniversary celebration of the TV dance party Soul Train runs through September and includes a photo exhibit and weekly Friday Night Groove dance parties.
