This week’s DJ isn’t sampling old funk beats or rare rhythm tracks. Instead, she samples herself. And her turntables? Not your typical Technics.  Hers are hand-crafted repurposed electronic parts. Lesley Flanigan is a New York-based sound sculptor and artist. She’s one of the artists in the first ever Sonar Chicago festival, which runs through this Saturday. Lesley Flanigan’s new album, Amplifications, is out now. Lesley performs this evening at 5 p.m. at the Chicago Cultural Center.
