Earlier this month, the documentary Mapping Stem Cell Research: Terra Incognita won the Peabody Award for documentary filmmaking. The film follows the story of Dr. Jack Kessler, the head of the neurology department at Northwestern University. He and his team are on a quest to unlock the mystery behind the embryonic stem cell. Three of the subjects of Terra Incognita have an update on how things have progressed in the field of stem cell research since the making of the film.

Dr. Kessler was joined by Vicki Tysseling-Mattiace and Vibhu Sahni, who were graduate assistants during the making of the film.
