The Chinese play The Other Shore is essentially a series of scenes exploring human interaction. The title refers to the Buddhist belief that we suffer in this life, but by being patient and wise we can cross to The Other Shore and achieve enlightenment. Eight Forty-Eight’s dueling critics Jonathan Abarbanel and Kelly Kleiman give their reviews.
The Other Shore is on stage at the Halcyon Theatre through February 21.
