But we ask you, how much would a woodchuck chuck if you woke him up in the middle of winter? DuPage County ecologist Dan Thompson would say you’re better not to find out. For the past few years, the forest preserve district of DuPage County has made a point to not celebrate groundhog day. Thompson explains why.
