While the effects of the swine flu appear to have lessened, there’s no doubt its wreaked havoc on the already battered global economy. In Mexico, where the illness has made the greatest health impact so far, most businesses are in the midst of a government-imposed shutdown. Closer to home, the financial toll is less severe.
