Eight Forty-Eight for 03.06.12

In a surprise move Monday, President Obama announced that the G8 summit will be held at Camp David, not Chicago. Eight Forty-Eight gets analysis from WBEZ reporter Alex Keefe. Chicago Alderman Bob Fioretti, whose ward includes where the summit was to be held, weighs in on the change. And, the play Time Stands Still, now on stage at Steppenwolf Theatre, follows a female photojournalist and her personal struggles after returning home injured from an assignment. Playwright Donald Margulies and Los Angeles Times photographer Carolyn Cole talk about the inspiration behind the work, and what it’s like to photograph tragedy.
