It’s been one year since Rahm Emanuel moved into the fifth floor of City Hall and became Chicago’s mayor. Tony Sarabia spoke with Emanuel Wednesday about his first year in office and the city’s readiness for the NATO summit.

Then, speaking of NATO, Eight Forty-Eight has lined up two in-house experts to help us prepare for the weekend ahead. There’s a lot of speculation about how the summit will effect businesses and traffic in the city, and whether there will be violence between police and protesters. Alex Keefe gives the what’s-what on NATO, the protests and how it all affects you, and Robert Wildeboer talks with a Chicago police sergeant and a local protest organizer to see what’s on their minds as we head into the NATO weekend.

Throughout Friday’s hour, the performers of the Chicago production of Million Dollar Quartet perform some of the more obscure songs from the musical. The show is based on a gathering of musicians back in 1956: Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.
