Elmhurst College President Discusses Native American Education Initiatives

The National Advisory Council on Indian Education is charged with advising the Secretary of Education on education matters related to Native Americans. Recently, Elmhurst College President Alan Ray was appointed to the 15-member council. Ray, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, talks about his appointment, and the future of Native American education.
