Enter the Realm of Oshima at the Gene Siskel Film Center

Nagasi Oshima has been heralded as Japan's greatest living filmmaker. He's been making films for nearly five decades. The Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago's Loop is currently presenting a two month-long, 20-film, retrospective series titled In the Realm of Oshima. Eight Forty-Eight's film critic Jonathan Miller has more on the filmmaker.

In the Realm of Oshima runs through March 2 at the Gene Siskel Film Center. You can catch Dear Summer Sister tonight, and In the Realm of the Senses tomorrow afternoon.
