Chicago police officers once again found themselves on the wrong side of the law. Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy recently commented on two local police officers, Alex Guerrero and Antonio Martinez Jr., who were indicted for allegedly assisting the notorious Latin Kings street gang. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Hammond, Indiana announced the indictment against the two officers and 13 others Friday. The gang has been accused of a crime spree that involved murder, attempted murder and drug and gun sales. WBEZ’s Michael Puente has been following the story and spoke with Eight Forty-Eight about the latest developments.
