Finding Affordable Housing Creates Challenge for Those with Disabilities

Finding affordable housing in Chicago is a challenge at the best of times. It becomes even more complicated when you have disabilities. Jim Glozier knows this all too well. His job at Chicago's Access Living involves finding homes for their clients with disabilities. Jim Glozier's challenge is common throughout our city – and the country. That's according to a new report from the National Council on Disability. We speak with Janet Smith, a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, who contributed research to the report. She began by giving us a sense of the demand for accessible housing.
