Tom Tresser has been stirring the pot in Chicago for decades. You might remember his vocal opposition to Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympic Games. Tresser co-founded the group No Games Chicago. As a champion of the arts he’s worked for a long list of non-profits. Currently he teaches civics and public policy at DePaul University and the Illinois Institute of Technology. Now Tresser is running for Cook County Board President as a member of the Green Party. Cook County is home to huge government. The budget is in the multi-billions. Their responsibilities include running a criminal justice system, providing health care services and maintaining county roads and forest preserves.
