CAVE perform “WUJ”

The rhythmic orchestration of the rock band Cave typically unwinds slowly but steadily over lengthy songs. They are often called “roller-rinkin’ rock for the next generation.”

Confused about what that phrase means? The band sat down with Eight Forty-Eight to explain what exactly roller-rinkin’ rock is and why they are not your typical jammers. Cave also performed their songs “WUJ” and “Party Legs” in WBEZ’s Jim and Kay Mabie Performance Studio. The band will play at Hideout this Saturday on Chicago’s North Side.
