Homeless Find a Mission in Greenhouses

Two blocks south of all the big-box stores and strip malls on Chicago's Roosevelt Road, those who are down-and-out can find a home at the Pacific Garden Mission. To stay there, residents must contribute with simple tasks throughout the shelter, like cleaning.  Others get their hands dirty in the mission's greenhouses. We recently toured the greenhouse to find out more. The Greenhouses of Hope are part of the Pacific Garden Mission at 1458 South Canal Street in Chicago.
