Allen Iverson is one of the great athletes of our time. In high school, he led his team to state championships in basketball and football. He was the all-time scoring-average leader at Georgetown University. He’s an 10-time NBA all-star, a four-time scoring champ and he won the league MVP in 2001.

But off the court, Iverson has been divisive. In fact, his involvement in a brawl years ago managed to divide his entire hometown of Hampton, Virginia. The story of that incident is told in the new film No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson by Steve James, the man behind the award-winning documentary Hoop Dreams. James recently laid out some of the similarities between Hoop Dreams and his latest project.

No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson premieres tomorrow night on ESPN.
