The theater adaptation of the fast-talking Marx Brothers classic, Animal Crackers is now on stage at the Goodman Theatre. It’s a vaudeville-esque production about a painting that goes missing at a highfalutin party. Treading water in the topsy-turvy turmoil of Animal Crackers is Mrs. Rittenhouse. She’s a society woman who gets pelted with insults by one of Groucho Marx’s most iconic personas, Captain Spaulding. Richard Steele speaks with Ora Jones, who plays Mrs. Rittenhouse.
