How Can Illinois Ensure Stimulus Dollars for Minority-Owned Businesses?

We're asking you to share your experiences trying to get state contractors, and if you're not in the business, whether the state of Illinois should be required to meet their goals and how they should do it. We have a panel of experts to help answer your questions.

Panel:
Paul Cerpa- Executive director of the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA). He also worked for IDOT in the past.
Professor Michael Pagano-Dean of UIC's College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs
State Representative Lashawn Ford-Represents Illinois' 8th district and is working on a task force to address minority participation in state contracting and jobs.

The Illinois Department of Transportation declined our request to participate this morning.
