Indian musician Chitrivina Ravikiran is known for marrying a myriad of musical styles and genres. His latest venture takes fusion a step further: Pushed to the Edge, a unique work combining and examining the music and dance forms of Eastern and Western culture makes its world premier on April 14 at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts.

Ravikiran collaborated with Natya Dance Theatre and Mordine & Company for the production, which is a tribute to Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. The Indian composer also collaborated with, and is accompanied by, jazz saxophonist George Brooks. Both musicians joined Eight Forty-Eight to talk about the production—and play some of its music.

Pushed to the Edge will be performed—one night only—on Saturday April 14 at 8:00 p.m. at the North Shore Center for Performing Arts.
