But any potential campaign by the Congressman got a little more complicated last month. Jackson faced fall-out from two negative news stories. One involved renewed allegations related to Barack Obama’s former U.S. Senate Seat. Then there was the story that Jackson had cheated on his wife, Chicago alderman Sandi Jackson. Some commentators argue that Jackson added insult to injury by cheating with a white woman. Census data shows us that interracial relationships and marriages have increased significantly over the last couple of decades. But today we’re asking, are they still taboo?
