Into the World of Synesthesia

Synesthesia is a rare neurological condition. It usually involves the involuntary coupling together of two unrelated sensory or cognitive experiences – like seeing letters as colors. Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism students recently set out to explore what it's actually like to experience the disorder.

This story was produced by Alex Lewis, with contributions from Elizabeth Weingarten and Judith Chetrit.
