The latest issue of the literary magazine Granta captures the cultural framework of Chicago from the vantage point of the writers and artists who call this city home. Issue number 108, or The Chicago Issue, is the magazine’s second city-centric issue. The first was all about London, but Acting Editor John Freeman says the decision to bring readers’ focus back across the pond was a simple one. He says Granta’s recent issue captures Chicago at an ideal moment.
