When homeless Chicagoans seek out services from local non-profits, they’re generally looking for the essentials – shelter, food, medical treatment. But they’ll get something different from Back on My Feet. The organization launched its Chicago chapter this morning.

Back on My Feet seeks to cloak homeless people in confidence and self-sufficiency, through a pretty unorthodox method—running. Earlier today the group’s thirty charter members embarked on their road to a possible new future. It began with a one mile run.
