Louder than a Bomb 2009: My Ode to Lil Wayne

For the past week, young writers representing over 50 schools and community organizations have been competing at the annual Louder Than a Bomb teen poetry competition. It's presented by Young Chicago Authors, a group that promotes self-expression and literacy.

Sunday, the winners will represent the Windy City at Brave New Voices, a National Youth Poetry Slam and Festival taking place in Chicago.

Among those vying for that spot is 18-year-old Gabbi Kelenyi, a senior at Walter Payton College Prep and a finalist in Louder than a Bomb. She presents her piece, “My Ode to Lil Wayne.”
