U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan spoke this morning at a breakfast hosted by Advance Illinois, where he was expected to challenge the state educators to think unconventionally. But for many students, like Lane Tech High School junior Marvin Guitierrez, his commitment to education comes from outside those walls.
