Mayor Daley's Apology and the Political Road Ahead

Yesterday, the mayor's office distributed a budget speech that included an apology for the privatization of parking meters in Chicago. When the floor opened up for comment at a budget hearing last night, it was the Olympics and crime that seemed to be highest on the list of citizen concerns. Other complaints are wearing on the mayor. A recent poll put Daley's approval rating at the lowest level ever.
