To take a long, hard look at corruption Eight Forty-Eight wanted to speak to a woman who’s made a career exploring the city’s underbelly for the last four decades. Pulitzer-prize winning reporter Pam Zekman has exposed frauds, corrupt city employees and wasteful spending for CBS 2 Chicago.  She recently worked with the Better Government Association to audit parts of Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas’ budget.

Zekman’s investigations have resulted in governmental reforms and criminal indictments. Zekman joined Eight Forty-Eight for a Mayor Monday education in the art of Chicago corruption.
