Mayor Monday: Taking on Chicago's education needs

To get a sense of the education challenges facing Chicago’s next mayor, "Eight Forty-Eight" talked with some of the people most affected. Jeff Wright is a principal at King College Prep, a selective enrollment high school on Chicago’s South Side. He was joined by Laurise Johnson, a junior at Sullivan High School in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, and WBEZ’s education reporter Linda Lutton.

Laurise Johnson will be a participant in WTTW’s mayoral debate, where more than 200 Mikva Challenge students will have the chance to question the city’s major mayoral contenders. That airs Monday on WTTW channel 11 at 7:00.

"Eight Forty-Eight" took your questions and ideas, too. If you weren't able to get them into the live conversation, you can leave them in the comments section.
