Melvin Van Peebles work in film spans across decades. The filmmaker, actor, playwright and composer has created cinema ranging from blaxploitation to the avant garde. His latest flick Confessions of a Ex-Doofus-Itchy Footed Mutha features a protagonist hitting locations around the globe, and telling the tale of the black experience along the way.
