From Jim and John Belushi to Tina Fey, some of the most recognizable names in comedy have one thing in common: They’re all graduates of the Ivy League school of comedy, The Second City. The lauded comedy group celebrates 50 years of chuckles and memories this weekend with a special series of performances and other activities. We’ve already heard from the big names at Second City, so we decided to speak with a behind-the-scenes person who’s been there since the beginning. Joyce Sloane is a producer emeritus at the school and is a sort of “mother hen” to the students. We recently spoke in her office at Second City.
