Not everyone’s having trouble gaining access to Illinois jails. One is MSNBC’s new crime series The Squeeze. The show brings viewers inside the nation’s largest single-site county jail – Chicago’s Cook County jail. Averaging more than 9,000 inmates a day, the Cook County Jail can be a complicated and potentially dangerous place. Still, authorities opened its doors to camera crews for filming. The first episode of The Squeeze premieres this coming January. Series Producer Steven Carroll joins us to explain how the show got access to film.
