Not everyone’s having trouble gaining access to Illinois jails. One is MSNBC’s new crime series The Squeeze. The show brings viewers inside the nation’s largest single-site county jail – Chicago’s Cook County jail. Averaging more than 9,000 inmates a day, the Cook County Jail can be a complicated and potentially dangerous place. Still, authorities opened its doors to camera crews for filming. The first episode of The Squeeze premieres this coming January.
