Bonnie Jo Campbell hit it big with her writing debut, Women and Other Animals. Her book of short stories won an Associated Writing Program’s Prize. Now the native Michiganian and University of Chicago alumna is receiving accolades – and a potential award – for her new collection, American Salvage. Eight Forty-Eight book critic Donna Seaman has the story.
