New Hires Face Reality at Youth Prison

This week, WBEZ has been reporting on how Washington, D.C. is working to turn around its juvenile prison. Illinois is taking steps to change the culture of its juvenile prisons, beginning with special training for frontline workers. As part of our series Inside and Out, we meet up with some of those workers at the juvenile prison at St. Charles, to get a glimpse of how their training plays out in the real world.
