New Report Finds Unusually High Suspension Rates In CPS

The Chicago Public Schools have one of the highest suspension rates among big city school districts. Nearly one in four black male students in CPS was suspended at least once last year. According to a recent investigation by the Chicago-based school reform magazine, Catalyst, that's a rate twice as high as the district average. Their associate editor, Sarah Karp, explains Catalyst's finding and the impact on students.
