Here are some tidbits about Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel: He once worked at Arby’s, he volunteered as a civilian with the Israel Defense Forces and he’s a graduate of New Trier Township High School. Why is that last bit worth noting? Because it’s the same school that produced alumni like attorney and author Scott Turow and former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. And the list goes on and on, and on and on. WBEZ’s Jason Marck recently talked to the superintendent of New Trier Township High School District 203, Linda Yonke.
