New Year, New Economy for Chicago?

Economists say there are signs of hope on the economic front. But data released on Friday showed December unemployment steady at 10 percent after predictions that joblessness would decrease. Still, the news isn't all bad. Here to help us understand what's in store for 2010 are two of Chicago's most respected economists. Diane Swonk is the chief economist for Mesirow Financial. And Bill Strauss is an economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
