From 2000 to 2007, the residential populations of Chicago’s central area have more than tripled. The Chicago Plan Commission was scheduled to vote on the non-binding plan for their Central Area Action Plan yesterday, but aldermen sought a postponement. Community organizer Enrique Perez follows development issues in Chicago’s South Loop and he gives us his reaction.
