For the second year in a row, a play that premiered in Chicago has won the Pulitzer Prize in drama. Last year, August: Osage County won the award for Steppenwolf Theater and its playwright Tracy Letts. This year race and gender issues set in a black brothel were the focus of the selection, Ruined The play premiered at Goodman Theatre and is written by New York native Lynn Nottage.
