Quigley Prepares for Special Election

The U.S. House of Representatives got a first look yesterday at a climate bill that would cut pollution by 20 percent from 2005 levels by 2020. The draft leaves out lots of specifics and members will, no doubt, make changes over the coming months of legislative debate, which is expected to be fierce.

Pundits and pols say Democrat Mike Quigley will likely soon join the fray. He's a Cook County Commissioner who won 22 percent in a crowded Democratic primary last month. That makes him, by far, the leading candidate for Illinois 5th congressional district. But that doesn't let him off the hook with us!

This week, we're talking to all three candidates for the special election to replace Rahm Emanuel -- Green Matt Reichel, Republican Rosanna Pulido, and today Democrat Mike Quigley.
