By Produced by Eight Forty-EightWoody Allen says if you’re not failing every now and again, it’s a sign you’re not doing anything very innovative. Tavis Smiley would no doubt agree. He believes that failure is at the very least an opportunity to start anew, whether on the global economic scale or on a personal level. And if failure breeds success then Smiley is failing better than most. The one-man media empire hosts talk shows, writes books and convenes summits.
His latest book is Fail up: 20 Lesson on Building Success from Failure.
He’ll be speaking at Kennedy-King College on Thursday and at St. Sabina Church on Saturday, where he’ll read from his new book and sign copies. Smiley joined Eight Forty-Eight to discuss what lessons could be learned from failure.
