Films based on graphic novels are pretty much run of the mill by now – from Tank Girl to Jonah Hex and American Splendor. But the ones reviewed today mix it up a bit. One is a farce set in and around a couple of English country houses. And the other: guns popping, bones breaking, rock ‘n’ roll.

To discuss the pros and cons of these comic book crossovers we turned to TimeOut Chicago’s own comic genius Hank Sartin.
