John Callaway, best known for creating Chicago Tonight on Channel 11, died yesterday at the age of 72. He’s often considered the best interviewer in the business. Callaway’s friend, mentee, and Chicago Sun-Times columnist, Laura Washington, recalls his impact on her. And, we share a clip of Callaway instructing the Schadenfreude sketch comedy group on the art of the interview.
