It’s that time again. The end of May has come to have special significance in the state of Illinois. The legislature is back in session this week—trying to pass a balanced budget before Memorial Day weekend. It’s a scramble that hasn’t had much success in recent years. So for a sense of how it’s going this time around we talk to House Majority Leader Barbara Flynn Currie and Republican Rep. Tim Schmitz.
