Republican candidate for Attorney General Steve Kim talks plans for the office
With the November election now looming you’re probably trying to get to know the candidates on the ballot a bit better. So over the past couple of months Eight Forty-Eight has been checking in with some of those vying for office. Today, we take on the race for Illinois Attorney General. IncumbentLisa Madigan, a Democrat, will join us next week. Today we sit down with Republican candidate Steve Kim. This is Kim’s first run for office. He does have government experience. In the 1990s he worked in the office of former Governor Jim Edgar. He also worked as Director of Export and International Trade for the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce. Kim is an attorney. He has held private industry positions at Time Warner Cable and AT&T. He’s also the first Asian American candidate for Attorney General in the history of Illinois. We;ll take your questions for Steve Kim on how he plans to run the office.
