Ask a tourist or a native what they know about Oak Park, and you’re bound to get the same answer – Frank Lloyd Wright. The architectural giant’s Prairie style constructions – and influence – loom large in the area. But the eastern part of Oak Park, known as the Ridgeland Oak Park Historic District, has its own set of architectural treasures. You can tour some of them Saturday during the 7th Annual House Walk put on by the area’s Historical Society. Homeowners on the tour will open their doors to the public – and that list includes graphic artist Chris Ware. Alison Cuddy started her tour at Ware’s house, along with Frank Lipo, the Executive Director of The Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest.
