Last week, Army Maj. Nidal M. Hasan allegedly went on a shooting rampage at the Fort Hood military base in Texas, killing 13 people including a man and woman from the Chicago area. Particularly disconcerting is that the suspected shooter was a mental health care provider — a psychiatrist.
