Frustration with the American government is providing inspiration for another group. The Coffee Party doesn’t celebrate the lowly bean. Instead its members get their buzz from civic participation and civil discourse. The movement began this past January when a documentary filmmaker from Washington D.C. updated her Facebook status. Annabel Park was just expressing her political opinions but pretty soon she had thousands of followers echoing her dissatisfaction. Baxter Swilley is the leader of a newly formed Illinois chapter of the Coffee Party and he tells us more.
